Calling writers and travellers: Dr. Gerard Collins, an award-winning author from Newfoundland, now living in New Brunswick, is offering another writing retreat - this time, in Scotland in the fall, from September 15-27, 2019. Our “Go and Write!” group will spend the first half of our trip in a castle, which we’ve secured for our own private use, followed by three days in the Highlands and three more in Edinburgh and surrounding areas. Gerard, who has a PhD in English literature and has taught university for more than two decades, will offer three workshops as well as a one-on-one meeting and written feedback on your writing. We have the run of Lunga House, a small castle on the west coast where we spend the first six nights of our trip, which means we'll have multiple readings without fear of disturbing other guests. We've also organized on-site writing opportunities at places like Culloden Battlefield and the Isle of Skye, and Book Lovers’ / Literary Pub tours in Edinburgh. If you'd like to talk to Gerard about the upcoming writing retreat in Scotland, you can drop him an email at firstname.lastname@example.org or send him a note through the Go and Write Facebook Event page. We have 12 people registered already and limited space, so book early to guarantee your spot. Visit www.goandwrite.ca for more information.
