Wenda Young grew up in Ontario, but settled in Nova Scotia in 1976. She has taught kids in nursery school, elementary school and university. Now she writes fiction for young adults. To keep current with teen culture, she draws on the expertise of several consultants, aged thirteen to eighteen. She's fascinated by the choices young people must make as they face the challenges that forge personality into character. Wenda is married and has a daughter and a son, both adults. Her novel Angels in the Snow was published by Coteau Books in September 1998, and was a finalist for the 1999 Ann Connor Brimer Award.
