Diana Lynn Tibert

Brief Biography

Diana Lynn Tibert was born and spent the first 29 years of her life in Cole Harbour Halifax County, NS. Her family roots stretch to Liscomb Mills, NS and Lewin's Cove, NL. She graduated from Cole Harbour High School and completed courses at Mount Saint Vincent University, Halifax, and the Agricultural College, Truro.

As a freelance writer, Diana specializes in genealogy, history and gardening, but writes in other areas including parenting, child care, camping and hiking.

In 2005, Diana became the genealogy columnist for the Halifax Daily News. Her "Roots to the Past" column appears in ten East Coast newspapers: Kings County Record, Times & Transcript, The Western Star, Journal-Pioneer, The Citizen, Lunenburg Progress Enterprise, Bridgewater Bulletin, Guysborough Journal, Bedford Magazine and the Southender.

Diana's other publication credits include: Canadian Gardening, Saltscapes, Plant and Garden Magazine, Alive Magazine, and the East Coast Gardener.

Diana's current projects include gathering information for a book on the Veterans of Guysborough County, a fantasy novel and several children's picture books.

Diana lives with her husband and three children at Milford Station, NS.
