Carol is currently adapting Linden MacIntyre's novel, Causeway. Her comedy Share premiered at Ship's Company Theatre in July, 2007. Her production company, SINC INK, produced her musical, Ruby, about Ruby Keeler, in October, 2007. Her large cast musical, Firefly, will receive a remount at Dalhousie Theatre Program in the 2008 season, and her musical, Ferry Tales, will premiere at Ship's Company in summer 2009.
Her play, Sabina's Splendid Brain was at Fem Fest in Winnipeg fall 2008, and taught at Ontario Universities. It has now seen productions in 12 countries. Carol's enjoyed writing residencies at St. FX University, and with Dalhousie's Medical Humanities Program, for which she wrote Defense de Fumer, touring to Ottawa, Vancouver, Charlottetown, St. John, and Nunavut.
Screenplays of Idyll Gossip and The Summer of the Handley-Page have been funded by Ontario Film Development and Telefilm, and the latter was produced for national radio by CBC, as was Brownie From Hell.
Carol has had professional productions of her plays in Toscana, Italy, Galway, Ireland, Perth, Australia, Cape Town, South Africa, London, England, Belgrade in the former Yugoslavia, and in Cincinnati, USA, as well as in every province in Canada.
She was a member of the Tarragon Playwright's Unit, the Banff Playwright's Colony, and is a member of the Canadian Actor's Equity Association, Playwright's Atlantic Resource Centre, Theatre Nova Scotia, and the Writer's Federation of Nova Scotia. She was a founding and five year member of the Nova Scotia Arts Council.
