Philip Roy

Brief Biography

Philip Roy was born and raised in Antigonish. He studied music and history before choosing a career in writing. His love for the ocean, enjoyment of travelling and fascination for submarines has led to the creation of his Submarine Outlaw Series (SOS). These are tales of high adventure on the seas and waterways of the world but involve many other things as well, such as mythology, geography, ecology, invention and an embracing love of people, places, animals and things. Alfred, the main character of SOS, with his quirky dog and seagull crew, are endeavouring to travel over the entire world in their small submarine. River Odyssey, book three in the series, has just been released in August, 2010. Philip is busy with book four, Tales of the Pacific, due next summer. Along with writing, Philip's greatest pleasure is found in visiting schools and meeting with the bright stars of the next generation.
