LeRoy Payne Peach

Brief Biography

LeRoy Payne Peach writes poetry and non-fiction with a strong Maritime flavour. Born in Port Morien, his formative years were shaped by the culture and beauty of Cape Breton. LeRoy earned undergraduate degrees from Dalhousie before pursuing post-graduate studies at the University of Toronto. He has thirty years experience as an educator in Nova Scotia and Ontario, in addition to serving as English department head. Now retired from teaching, he writes a bi-weekly column for The Cape Breton Post. LeRoy's poetry has been published in three collections; his latest title is Inlets of the Heart. He has also written two non-fiction books. LeRoy enjoys giving readings and participating in workshops whenever he is not playing golf or cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs. He lives in Port Morien, Cape Breton.
