Virginia MacIsaac

Brief Biography

Virginia writes from her island home in rural Nova Scotia. Her freelance articles have been found in Atlantic Boating News, Rural Delivery, Shunpiking-MacTalla, and the Inverness Oran. Features in the Cape Bretoner, the East Nova Business Report, and the Participaper cover topics of immigration, social economics and community development, history and genealogy, fitness and food.

As coordinator for a variety of non-profit groups she catalogues collections, creates historical projects, and community cook books.

Virginia especially understands a writer's need for an organized and accurate back-of-the-book index and has worked as an indexer for Nancy Roberts Design in Along the Cole Harbour Road by Harry Chapman and in Unique:Chester Golf Club Turns 50. She has prepared an index for the next printing of The Runaway by Tony and Donna D'Amour and creates specialized indexes from local history and genealogy books.
