Cynthia d'Entremont

Brief Biography

Cynthia's first novel, Unlocked, was released in 2010 by Word Alive Press and her second novel, Oak Island Revenge, will be released by Nimbus Publishing in late 2011, early 2012. Cynthia has published several non-fiction articles and has a short story in A Maritime Christmas (Nimbus, 2008). She has won both the Joyce Barkhouse Writing for Children Award and a Nova Scotia Talent Trust Scholarship in Literary Arts. Cynthia teaches writing workshops for all ages, and is available for speaking engagements. Over the years, she has travelled throughout Canada, the United States, Mexico, China, and Europe, often with charities providing humanitarian relief. She currently teaches elementary school part-time and will graduate from Mount Saint Vincent University with her Master of Education in 2011. Cynthia finds inspiration listening to the Atlantic Ocean waters roar near her home in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
