Regina Coupar is a Nova Scotian of Acadian descent with a wide range of interests. She studied fashion design at Ryerson University, lithography at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design, holds a BA in Religious Studies and Fine Art from Mount Saint Vincent University and a Master's Degree in Theological Studies from the Atlantic School of Theology. In addition to an extensive exhibition history as a visual artist, Regina has published five books, the first three under her own imprint, Gamaliel Publications. She has written a regular column on religion and culture for The Chronicle Herald, and is a frequent contributor to several publications, including Making Waves: An Ecumenical Feminist Journal.
A past Chair of Visual Arts Nova Scotia and juried member of the Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council, Regina is the Exhibitions Director of the Arts and Theology Program at the Atlantic School of Theology. She is passionate about the creative process and its role in human development and healing. She has taught workshops across the country that explore the connections between art, writing and spirituality.
