Born in Quebec in 1971, Katia now lives in the Annapolis Valley. Formerly a professionnal pilot, she put that world aside to fully embrace the joys of being a mother. After completing a B.A. in Communications in 2003, Katia finally admitted to herself her imperious need to write. Her first novel, Un jardin en Espagne. Retour au Générals was launched in March 2006. It was shortlisted for the Prix des lecteurs Radio-Canada 2007 and for the Prix Éloizes 2007. Katia is an occasional freelance writer for Le Courrier de la Nouvelle-Écosse.
Katia also writes for children. Her first story was published in the popular kid's magazine J'aime lire in November 2006. Since, she has seen the launch of 3 series: "Crinière au vent", for 8-10 year- olds; "Mon meilleur ami", for 3-8 year-olds; and "Riquili" for 3-5 year-olds.

Après avoir complété un baccalauréat en communication en 2003, Katia s'avoue finalement son impérieux besoin d'écrire. Son premier roman, Un jardin en Espagne. Retour au Généralife fut lancé en mars 2006. Il a depuis été finaliste au Prix des lecteurs Radio-Canada 2007 et aux Prix Éloizes 2007. Katia est á l'occasion pigiste pour Le Courrier de la Nouvelle-Écosse.
Katia écrit aussi pour la jeunesse. Sa toute première histoire, quelque peu éclatée, est parue dans le populaire magazine J'aime lire de novembre 2006. Depuis, elle a célébré le lancement de trois séries : « Crinière au vent », pour les 8 á 10 ans; « Mon meilleur ami », pour les 3 á 8 ans; et « Riquili », pour les 3 á 5 ans.
