All writers need a professional author headshot. Whether it is for social media, your author’s website, the Writers in the Schools brochure, or for your book jacket: your image connects you with your audience. Here is your chance.

Nicola Davison of Snickerdoodle Photography is offering to take professional headshots, with all proceeds going to the Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia in support of programming.

When we held this session last in February, this is what participants had to say:

“Niki is such a talented professional (and a magician)! She made this awkward and nervous subject very comfortable and relaxed. She sent me my photos within days and I have been using them for all of my professional bios and social media.  I was thrilled with the results! I highly recommend booking a session with Niki...and did I mention the free snickerdoodle cookies??” – Cat Carlyle

“Win/win! I hate having my photo taken, but Nicola Davison made it a fun, relaxing and rewarding occasion. She removed any potential for cringe-worthy moments to capture me in a refreshingly genuine yet flattering light. I love the result and so does my publisher! A fantastic opportunity to have your author photo done by a professional photographer who, as a fellow author, knows the value of visuals that truly reflect one's writerly self.”  — Carol Bruneau

“It was such a relaxing experience because Niki masterfully puts you at ease. Behind the lens, she easily captures a smile or finds a serious moment. Before you know it, you are transformed.” – Carole MacDougall
