Join us for a panel discussion on Elizabeth Bishop on Monday, March 2nd, from 6:30 - 8:30 pm in Paul O'Regan Hall at Halifax Central Library. The panel, moderated by author and educator, Alexander MacLeod will discuss how place, home, and memory intertwine in Bishop's work. The panel will include Rita Wilson and Emma FitzGerald, creators of "A Pocket of Time: The Poetic Childhood of Elizabeth Bishop"; Sandra Barry, Bishop scholar, and poet Alison Smith. Attendees are also invited to attend and intimate conversation and book sighing at Field Guide at 2076 Gottingen St, whose owner, Ceilidh Sutherland's grandmother was a first cousin of Bishop. Food and drinks will be avaialble for purchase from 9 to 11.
