As per Joyce's request, you may donate to the Writers in the Schools Program, the Atlantic Writing Competition, or for our Emergency Fund for Writers. Writers in the Schools
Writers in the Schools sends Nova Scotian writers to classrooms all over the province with the aim to educate students about writing and literature while also entertaining them. For more information, including a list of participating writers, please click here.
General Funds
Includes the Atlantic Writing Competition and the Emergancy Fund for Writers. The Writers' Federation of Nova Scotia has a full roster of programming and services for writers at every level. Every penny helps in doing the work that we do.
Atlantic Poetry Prize

Mentorship Program
This annual program is designed to address the needs and encourage the development of writers on the cusp of professional publication. Ami McKay, Shandi Mitchell, Ryan Turner and many others are alumni. For more about the program, click here.
Evelyn Richardson Prize
